Today my laptop went dysfunctional..... I nearly cried.... Let me tell you the horrific tale...
I was sitting quietly on the floor.... Headphones on, watching Brave (Don't judge me!! It was sweet!!) and it was nearing the end where everything was going to be all 'Happily Ever Aftery' when suddenly.... The animated world slowed... Their voices became baritones and the images flickered and I knew there was something wrong.... Pausing the movie quickly, I switched tabs to where Dan And Phil's Season 2 Finale of The SuperAmazingProject was loading.... And they were in slow motion too!!! It was so creepy and insulting that I closed Firefox and tried playing some music... In hope that everything was fine.... And I'd go back to the movie after a bit.... The music didn't play... I was beginning to seriously freak out... I tried all sorts of methods to start it up.... But to no avail.... No movie, no son would start up.... My computer seemed to have slowed to one seventh of its usual speed.... Terrible fragmented thoughts flitted around like mad butterflies of death. What if my laptop were ruined? What if there was some terrible destructive virus killing its innards soundlessly in front of my eyes? What if a crazy undetectable trojan had somehow got in and was wrecking havoc in the quiet districts of my laptop!!?? I quickly turned off all programs and ran an Anti-Virus Scan.... After a long sweltering worrisome hour where I tried to take my mind off things by drawing Bio experiment apparatus.... (FAIL).... The scan was complete....
My laptop was declared VIRUS-FREE!!!! I was so relieved.... But then why was NOTHING playing?? I tried watching some stuff on YouTube but it kept giving me crap about some plugin crashing.... But I wasn't as worried as I had been before... At least I knew my PC wasn't infected... So I put my comp to sleep and dragged myself to the main comp in my parent's room.... And watched stuff there....
YES. I know I'm pathetic..... But would you believe it?? I actually finished a bit of work today!!! Amazing, right? So my dad came back home and told me to reboot my comp... So I did... And everything was fine.... I can watch Ed Sheeran's music videos now!! Yay!! I'm invincible!!!
But seriously... Having my laptop act strangely made me feel like my best friend was hospitalized.... It's creepy how much most of us geeks love our gadgets.... Really.... If my laptop died.... My sould would probably self-destruct or something....
So after that chilling tale.... I must leave as my dad is standing here lecturing me about how I must sleep early and improve my bad habits.... I better go.... :(
