Hi. I'm feeling so tired I don't feel like using emoticons... I'm not angry or dissatisfied with the running of the universe.... Just tired. And content. But TIRED.
A lot has happened lately.... Surprising as it may sound... It involved me exiting the comforts of my house....
Firstly, I traveled to the suburbs where I spent most of the day at my friend Y's house. She lives REALLY far away.... So it's tough for peoples to congregate at her house often.... This was one of those days when a few of us managed to pull through.... I realized that spending time with your friends really does improve the quality of your life....
- You get good food.
- You catch up on others' lives.
- You get a lot of cool music, book, movie etc etc suggestions.
- You probably laugh more in those four or five hours than you could laugh sitting alone in an apartment.
- You find out that there are some peeps out there who have accomplished much less homework than you have and feel mildly better about yourself.
I don't quite feel like reciting events but I'll give you the highlights...
So my family doesn't own a car. So getting around is mainly public transport. Taxis, buses, trains blah blah blah.... We get along pretty fine without a car until.... There's a frikkin Transport Strike. So my friend came all the way from her far off house to pick me, and another kid who I'll call Catlover. (She left a creepy stalker-like comment on one of my posts). We reached about half an hour late after a lot of loud obscene singing in the car... The driver probably would have shot himself if it weren't for the fact that there were three teenage girls in the back who deserved longer lives.
At Y's house... My other friend (nicknamed lovingly as Chicken) was already there.... So we hung around and went down to the park and made our voice boxes explode.. And it was the best.
(It looks so weird without my usual helpful spattering of smileys and stuff)
We climbed onto this cool terrace-but-not-a-terrace and created a scene causing everyone in the neighborhood to turn around and stare at us... Yeah... We're pretty good at that...
Lunch was at this posh ( And I mean P-O-S-H) restaurant with fabulous food.... You should have seen the dessert tray... Our eyes (like Y had promised) went like this:
Yep...
I had the Tiramisu of Ultimate Happiness.... *sighs*
heck it wasn't really called that but it gave me a really HIGH feeling.... And I don't think it was cuz some psycho had sprinkled it with Ecstasy.
So this place.... We felt so out of place amongst all these rich business people with their heavy coats in the sweltering sun (the jackasses)... YES it was AC in there and it felt heavenly to not be sweating for once... But SERIOUSLY??? Coats when it's reaching the frikkin boiling point outside.. ?? Not clever. No. But I'm getting sidetracked here....
We spent the rest of the time either sprawled on the floor.... Doing what I do on this blog... Fangirl, talk about music, movies books etc etc etc.... But Chicken told me to listen to songs by Fallout Boy. She ADORES them... I think a few of them seriously need treatment or something....
Anyway... So I just had Chinese for lunch with some family friends... And while the grown ups talk about politics... I've retired to my room to update the universe on my life.... hmm...
I'm calling my friends over tomorrow.... I hope it's fun... Of course it'll be fun!! This is good. Mingling with other humans of my age is good. I should not necessarily call myself a social butterfly (Ha! What a joke) but I can call myself a rising introvert. Rising Introvert. Maybe. Yeah.
So I'll go now... Maybe do some math... YUCH.
Btw listen to this song called Young Homie by Chris Rene (from X Factor USA)... It's really nice if you like that kind of stuff... Also Renegade by The Styx... That also requires a a certain deeper sense.... If that's normal...
Alvida,
Squish.
