Well hello.
IT'S DIWALI!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah!
It is, really.
Now for those of you who don't know, Diwali is the Indian, Festival of Lights. It's really beautiful.... It's to celebrate the returning of Ram to his home, Ayodhya after his 14 year exile. (Ram was a dude in this ancient story called the Ramayana written by this chap called Valmiki... check it out on Wikipedia if you want cuz I ain't ellaboratin' no more :p )
Anyway, we people, light up colorful diyas and make rangolis.
I made one outside my house so...
Yeah, I made that :)
The rangoli is made from different, vibrantly hued powder with the texture of sand.... It's fun to make.... But it gets annoying because, when most people so it by cutting out a shape in cardboard and then pouring sand into it to get definite shapes, I however, attempt it with a funnel (I'm so great right) which sometimes results in a mess... :p
It's Diwali holidays now!!!
I wish I could say that 'I'm free' but I'm not... Insensitive teachers with their need to be pile-ons. (see what I did there?)
Our break lasts ten whole days, out of which seven days, I'm not even in the same state as my school.
THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS!!!
Cuz Imma get myself to CAMP!!!!
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so excited!!!! We're going on this amazing trip to the Himalayas (If you don't know what they are, GET OUT OF HERE AND NEVER RETURN) where we're gonna be trekking and living in tents in this base camp. We're doing this whole List of Activities that's gonna be Ehpihc. :D
I've packed a rucksack (I've never used one before... It's all new to me) and a small travel bag. (they keep calling it a 'knapsack' but the word sounds evil to me.... )
Oh two days back I got a really bad stomach infection, and now I'm on anti-biotics... (I ALWAYS manage this) but I'll be fine :)
Happy Diwali peeps!!!
Alvida,

The thing in the centre with the candle in it, is a diya and the colored
design itself is the rangoli.
