Speechless

What?
WHAT?
A four-year-old and a seventeen-year-old were raped.
WHAT???

You ask where's humanity?
It flew out the window a long time back.

I open the Mumbai Mirror (Daily newspaper of Mumbai) and I see THAT. Along with so many other heinous crimes.
WHAT?
All I see is 'corrupt' 'scam' 'slashed' 'killed' 'abused' 'death toll'
WHAT?
I can't even think. I'm sitting here and all I want to do is kick that revolting bastard's ass.
WHAT?
There was another recent rape case where a female journalist was assaulted in an abandoned factory. Then another of a father raping his daughter. And another of a mother caught trying to sell her daughter's virginity.
WHAT?
I want to do something. I sign hordes of online petitions and like all these pages and share all this stuff. But it's not enough. Clearly. I need to do something. For starters, I realized, I need to prepare myself.
WHY?
Why is it necessary for me to feel safer when I'm carrying a Swiss knife in my bag? Why am I learning self-defense? Why am I not allowed to take a cab at night? Why is it impossible to trust anyone?
WHY?
How can ministers still claim that it is the Woman's fault that she got raped? They believe that if women wear less provocative clothing, then they're safe.
WHAT?
Bullshit.

You ask... If you're so tough, watcha gonna do about it?
Well. That's the problem. Going out there and shouting slogans with a group of women isn't enough.
We need other men to understand that ALL OF THIS CRAP is real. This is happening.
We need them to see how much easier it is for them to walk down a road, than for us.
Why do we need pepper-spray? Why the need to carry weapons?
Why is it a crime for a girl to look pretty? Why can't we dress up? Why can't we be who we want to be?

Rape isn't the only thing.
Girls are the victim. Always.

Bollywood movies (not all, but a Huge portion of 'em) instigate wrong feelings towards girls.
Mean treat women like objects. They look at their bodies and their beauty, rather than their personality and brains. Those certain selfish buttheads believe that women are weak, shallow and can be used as toys.
NO.
Goddammit  NO.

Women are not supposed to just sit at home and cook. Women are not there to just run the house. Women are not there to pop out children like baby-vending machines.
NO.

They say 'increase security'. Yes. Do that.
But when will the need for excessive security end??
WHEN?
Officials to whom rape cases are reported are sometimes men.
WHAT?
Imagine the height of humiliation the woman goes through while describing the incident. Imagine the way the officials would look at her, the images that would flit through their minds.
WHAT?
It's not the Women who need to change you damned fools, it's the Men.
Life-imprisonment for rapists. Hang them if you must. Wouldn't be a big loss to the world.

And yes, this IS another bhashan (lecture) on how we should band together regardless of cast, creed, gender or religion and fight this terrible madness that seems to be reining people's minds.
It IS.
Don't groan. If you did. Well. What did I say. Waste of Oxygen.

So to all those guys who objectify women:
Chodh yeh paagalpan. Hum bhi toh tere jaise hi insaan hain.
(Leave this madness elsewhere. We're humans, like you)
